Понравилась эта подборка: площать некоторых крупных городских агломераций мира. Хорошо видно, насколько огромные по площади агломерации США, но относительно маленькие азиатские. Правда, тут есть ляпы с цветами у Мехико и Джакарты, но все равно очень любопытно и визуально понятно.

I think it is a very misleading map. Say Beijing is really a city, that is, there are places where people walk on work in the yellow space. The analogue for NYC would probably be Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx and Jersey City.

BTW, these borders of NYC are better than current "five boroughs": Staten Island looks like a suburb more than JC.

Well, I guess they can't just redraw the borders of states.
