Yougove выдал очередной шикарный опрос по мотивам утверждения Трампа, что на его инаугурации было больше людей, чем на инаугурации Обамы.



С одной стороны 41% голосовавших за Трампа считают, что фото с его инаугурации - это фото B: но это логично, так как на этом фото, взятом с инаугурации Обамы в 2009 г. больше людей. Но при этом, на вопрос "На каком фото больше людей?" 15% голосовавших за Трампа считают, что на фото А большей людей, чем на фото B! Это уже явно те, кто знает, что фото А взято с инаугурации Трампа. Причем, даже малюсенький процент голосовавших за Клинтон и не голосовавших тоже считает, что на первом фото людей больше.  Хороший пример того, как даже если людям предъявить очевидные фотодоказательства, некоторый процент по разным причинам все равно будет выбирать неверный ответ.

I'm not going to explain anything further before you understand how perspective works. To help you, i've pointed your attention in a different direction towards Pensilvania avenue. Look hard at the CNN's photo and at the google maps (https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@38.8936113,-77.0231528,855m/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en) and try to explain how for example almost the same distance between box junctions (or intersections if you wish) becomes smaller and smaller the further away from where the picture is taken from. Hold on, hold on. I'm not buying anything. I don't even comment about the event itself. I'm just fascinated by your interpretation of perspective, or rather the lack of such. I've even suggest to step away from counting heads and consider something simpler first. It's a very good example of perspective BSing once senses. There are eight grass rectangles along the National Mall between the pondy water feature and the W Monument. Can you find them all on the photo?
