kireevСейчас, когда МакКейн наслаждается лидерством в опросах после Республиканской конвенции, самое время написать этот пост. Я думаю, что если МакКейн победит на выборах, а Обама проиграет, мне практически невозможно будет доказать, что Обама проиграл не только потому, что он негр. Первый бросающийся в глаза признак, самое напрашивающее объяснение, самая очевидная логика, самая простая интуиция тут будут играть против меня. Дело в том, что победителя не судят, а побежденного судят, и кажется, что все в нем было не так и все, что он делал было не то, и все факторы играли против него. Скажем, недавно я пытался убедить человека в том, что Керри победил Буша на всех трех дебатах, а на первых вообще разгромил. Он искренне удивился: Буш ведь победил на выборах? И тем не менее, Керри проиграл выборы не смотря на то, что выиграл на всех трех дебатах. Они просто помогли ему, но не спасли. Другой пример. Очень распространенный миф: Путин и Россия своим вмешательством помешали Януковичу и из-за этого он проиграл. Однако, этому нет подтверждений: еще весной 2004 Янукович уступал Ющенке в рейтинге в хорошие полтора раза, и как раз летом-осенью, когда было т.н. "вмешательство" он догнал Ющенко, при том что очевидно, что Янукович был неудачным кандидатом, а Ющенко - удачным на тот момент. То есть я убежден, что результат выборов складывается из множества факторов, и концентрироваться только на одном или ставить оценку всем факторам исходя из финального результата, неверно. И тем не менее многие люди именно так и поступают: Обама не может победить, потому что он негр и точка. Хотя реальность гораздо сложнее. Поэтому с точки зрения политологии, победа Обамы была бы полезней, чем победа МакКейна (это разумеется, не причина голосовать за Обаму). Многие приверженцы аналитики уровня "Обама - негр, Хиллари - женщина" будут обязаны пересмотреть свое упрощенное видение мира. Это будет просто хороший урок для них. Им будет полезно задуматься. Если же победит МакКейн, то наоборот, согласитесь, мне будет почти невозможно доказать, что проигрыш Обамы произошел не только потому что он негр, а может быть это и не было главным фактором: слишком уж это контринтуитивно. Это не значит, что раса не влияет на результат выборов, конечно влияет, но не все так просто. Да, Обама теряет голоса потому что он черный, но но и приобретает голоса потому что он черный, хотя, видимо, меньше. А главное, есть неисчислимое множество других факторов: кто именно этот негр, кто его соперник, кто какие делает ошибки и удачные ходы, как развивается экономика, две войны и другие факторы, которых мы сейчас может быть не знаем. Но в сознании людей, особенно за пределами США, такой проигрыш останется как неудачная попытка именно негра стать президентом, и, видимо, не смотра на большое количество доказательств на моей стороне, в сознании многих они будут перевешены финальным результатом этих выборов.
